When I tried to use migration assistant to Mt. Lion it messed up the hard drive so badly I had to reformat and install Mt. Lion again. Then I manually moved those items that were compatible with Mt. Lion. I have heard of others getting in the same kind of mess by using migration, it should give us a warning that doing so you risk jumping off the Royal Gorge.
I am STILL waiting for Quicken (a good copy, Mt. Lion clean) so one machine is still Snow Leopard. Those Intuit guys are really a class act.
