I have a new iMac running Mac Os x 10.8.2. It has a built in card reader in the rear which means it's very difficult to reach. Also I've read that lots of people are having problems with the built in card reader.
I'm looking for an external card reader. Have tried the two Murphy's Camera store sells and neither work with my new iMac or with my old (2007) iMac running Snow Leopard. Any suggestions. My old card reader works great but not with an 8 GB card. I prefer 1 GB cards but none of the stores I've tried carry them.
