Thursday, Uverse was installed in my home. It took the installer close to 5
hours. He had to run a new line from the pole to the house and he put a new NID
(network interface device - the box where the phone line comes to the house) on
the house.

The tech also had to reconfigure some of the phone jack boxes in side the house.

The transfer from DSL to Uverse was fairly seamless on the Mac, but on my
wife’s PC I had to tweak the email settings before it would work properly.

I have a network printer and my wife was able to print from the PC but I had to
reinstall it on the Mac -curious, no/

Network speed has more than tripled. I was getting around 3 Mbps with DSL (if I
was lucky), I now get ±11 with my 12 Mbps Uverse - go figure.

Life is good.

Harry
