Based on your postings over the years, Im sure you will know more about it than I do. I have had both ATV’s 1 and 2. The second one, and now a 3rd I think, are streaming devices, like Roku. So you can stream from iCloud, for stuff youve bought in the past, or new stuff. It connects with hdmi, pretty basic really. Turn on home sharing in iTunes, if you want to send stuff from your iTunes collection to the box. In iTunes prefs, under playback you can set what video version you want as default.
