All I can say is that ⌘-clicking on the window title has worked for a long time 
and always works for me. The ⌘LCV stuff doesn't seem to work well in the latest 
Safari.

I used the Develop menu in Safari and watched the console window on connection. 
To do this you have to turn on the Develop menu. The option to do this is 
hidden somewhere in Safari's preferences.

The easiest way to check the details of a secure connection is to use Chrome 
and click on the lock.
