Bill, Oh so true. I have a HP DesignJet 1055CM, prints 36" wide by 9 feet long. This is one amazing printer, way back when we were having our 50 anniversary class reunion I posted a print that was sent to me only 64k and this thing printed a huge poster 3 ft wide by 5 ft tall. Beautiful and totally unbelievable for such a small size document....AND I printed a huge room FULL of these size prints of our class when we were in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and on up the ladder. I don't remember how many there were but they were all over the walls....the amount of ink?
Never ran out of the cartridges that were in the machine when I started. These prints had huge amounts of ink and had I used my small printer to get the equivalent amount of coverage I would have needed a pickup to carry the boxes. The more expensive printers often are by far the most economical cost per print....of course it doesn't matter if you use it little.
