Prepared a Keynote presentation on a 27” iMac (3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 running
MAC OS X 10.8.5). Keynote software is ’09; 5.3 (1170). Loaded presentation via
a flash drive to my MacBook Pro (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, running the sam OS
and Keynote version.. Presentation went well. However I couldn’t quit Keynote,
couldn’t get out of full screen mode when the program was over. Got a message
something to the effect that “this version of Keynote required user’s name and
password to quit). Duh? I’ve never seen that before.

I’ve never use a user’s name and password with Keynote so had no idea what was
wanted. The admin one did not work. Couldn’t escape the full screen mode so
finally turned off the laptop by holding down the power button.

Today when I turned on the laptop, Keynote was open but in the creating/editing
mode. No problem with quitting Keynote or Shutting down the computer.

Any idea as to why the problem getting out of full screen mode with Keynote?

Luckily, I had shown other material before the presentation and hadn’t planned
to show it afterwards.

Any advice appreciated. And yes I plan on upgrading OS and other software soon.
Finally.

Anne Cartwright
