Nothing is silly, we all learn.

I haven’t used it, but my daughter’s boss has it on his iPhone, carried on his 
belt…works perfectly.

I can’t imagine it would work in your purse, can’t measure the stride?? I 
wouldn’t think you would carry your purse with you every step of the day so you 
would be missing out.
