I have many spreadsheets in Numbers and on a couple of them when I go to add a column using the Function drop down menu at the top, a new column is added and it is populated with 0s. If I click on one of the cells with the 0 I get "=SUM (E42:E:42).
Why is it filling left? Or better yet, how do I get it to stop and just add the column. note: I first highlight the column and then go to the Function drop down menu and then Sum. The cell below the highlighted column is blank. Numbers '09 version 2.3 (554) inMac OS X 10.8.5.
