I have many spreadsheets in Numbers and on a couple of them when I go to add a 
column using the Function drop down menu at the top, a new column is added and 
it is populated with 0s. If I click on one of the cells with the 0 I get "=SUM 
(E42:E:42). 

Why is it filling left? Or better yet, how do I get it to stop and just add the 
column. note: I first highlight the column and then go to the Function drop 
down menu and then Sum. The cell below the highlighted column is blank.
