Let me try this again. My initial post was from my iPhone, with me trying to
listen to her and get the information out in a timely manner.

I am helping a friend who is having a problem with her Apple eco-system and
G-Mail.

She has an iMac with up to date OS X 10.xxx.
She uses the mail program that comes with OS X
She has a working fine DOT me e-mail account
She has two Gmail accounts.
Gmail 1 works on her iPhone and iPad but NOT on her iMac
Gmail 2 works on her iMac and iPad but NOT on iPhone
All the names and passwords are set correctly as they both load to web base
Gmail.

I have removed both from the mail program and re-installed them with negative
results.
The error message is that IMAP or SMTP does not work to connect to Gmail.

I have rebooted the iMac & iPhone to no avail

She is using ATT U-verse for Internet access as well at TV and Phone.

I have looked on the web for the problem and solutions and tried what appeared
to be reasonable. It just does not make sense to me that one account works
perfectly fine and the other one configured exactly the same way on the same
iMac is not working. I am sure it is a button switch or check box someplace I
am missing but I can’t find it.

Anyone else had/have this issue or can you offer suggestions?

Richard
