Today I went to Chase to open an account with them since they offer Apple Pay.

The account manager I talked with knew little about the benefits even though it
was Chase that worked with Apple to develop the system.

In fact, she said I was the first person in their bank to even ask about it!!
The bank I am leaving had promised since January to have it but now they say
they don’t think many of their folks are interested in moving this direction.

Bummer, we Mac folks should be pushing our banking institutions to adapt the
Apple system, it’s by far the safest, everyone is kept out of the loop, the
merchant doesn’t know anything about us, Apple doesn’t know anything about the
transaction and of course the hacker, should he break into the store we just
left, will not even know we were there.

I guess we are not as “tech" in this area for in many parts of the country the
system is taking off like crazy….The University Of Oklahoma has gone Apple Pay
for the entire institution with another 700 colleges and Universities set to
establish the same for their folks.

We can make a difference we we make a little noise.

John
