Yup. Apple screwed up. The security certificates they use for DRM on the App 
Store had a bad expiration date. This affects many programs from the App Store. 
The only fix is to nuke the Elements on your machines and reinstall. The new 
cert expires in 2035, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

I had this same problem with Intaglio a couple of days ago.
