It uses the same type of secure negotiation as secure Web sites: Diffie-Hellman 
key exchange. This is a widely-used method for two computers to securely 
negotiate a shared private encryption key and protocol. Using D-H, it’s nearly 
impossible for an outside observer to eavesdrop. It’s a bit too complicated to 
describe here, but there are many Web sites doing that job.
