That doesn’t sound like ransomware. It’s more likely an annoying JavaScript 
loop. It’s annoying, but probably harmless. Force quitting the browser will 
stop the loop.

I think you should keep the time capsule online all the time. All I’m 
suggesting is a separate, protected disk for your most important stuff. I look 
at it as being an archive rather than a backup.
