Went to service station to fill the Jeep this morning….card declined!

Once home I called the bank and they said everything looked fine…then this
afternoon I received a call from Credit Card Security

Wanted to know if I booked an airline ticket from Germany in the amount of
$649.00….duh no, and to verify the card was valid there was a charge from Apple
for 49 cents and another for 11 cents….

Who knows where in the world they got the info…it’s a chip card BUT the
merchants are what we are hacked…not my card…

So disgusting, why have the chip card IF the merchants are open doors…..

Card was cancelled another will arrive in 5-7 business days…before I ended the
conversation with the security lady I told her I was livid over merchants not
accepting ApplePay, this would end my being hacked…period….

We Mac users are pretty secure but the majority of the places we shop are still
being run by Windows boxes and she said they had my credit card, the security
code, the expiration data…but not my correct mailing address…..

With Apple’s system NONE of that would be available to the merchant or the
hacker…..

Steam is filling the room, this is so ridiculous…..my company “makes” me use
CVS, they must have an arrangement on cost….I have told CVS over and over that
once I retire all my records will be transferred to Walgreens….they use
ApplePay and I’m going to do all I can to support those merchants….

Going home to take a valium…..

John
