Thanks for the link Jonathan. I followed most of the advice contained therein (that hadn’t already been done). There was one glaring exception to the "already had been done:” I discovered that my Mac OS firewall was turned OFF!! I’m pretty sure I have never touched that setting since buying the Mac new about two years ago. I always thought that Apple had the firewall turned on by default. Anyway it’s turned On now. Jim
