Yesterday I wrote about the gain in ApplePay, this morning I awakened to several charges on my Chase Debit card from San Francisco….
I called and the card is now deleted and I won’t get another for 5-7 days. This is the second card to be stolen in the last 2 months…both were chip cards… So, this is coming from either those merchants that have not upgraded to Chip equipment, or shopping on line where we have to leave our credit card info…but I never shop on line using a Debit card so some merchant has been hacked. ALL OF THIS WOULD STOP IF EVERY PLACE USED APPLEPAY! Only way to get to us then would be for Apple to be hacked, which is possible. I get so tired of this, this is why I push so hard for merchants to accept what will protect us the best.
