HD window shows the line-through-pencil graphic at top of Finder window. Did a Get Info on the HD, unlocked it, attempted to change access (permissions), then get the message telling me that I don’t have permission to change permissions on my HD.
In earlier OS X versions, wasn’t repair permissions available in Disk Utility? Can’t find it now. Various searches in Finder Help, Disk Utility Help, web search, etc., yield no help. What to do… …what to do.
