Folds Of An Accordion… Have you ever followed one of those blogs with folks hiking the Appalachian Trail, or climbing some huge mountain… It appears this is the footsteps I’m taking with the discoveries of the folds of Apple products and maybe the reason so many folks are beginning to embrace the ecosystem of my favorite company… Yesterday I mentioned I had taken two Mini’s to the Genius bar to have the Operating System f0.12 installed… Got home and did the TimeMachine restore to find the Mini I had installed the SSD drive had the system installed on the spinning drive, not the SSD…dang, another trip. I scheduled another appointment for today then last night one of our daughter’s decided she wanted an Apple Watch 3 for Christmas, so take care of both on the same visit…. Hurrying out of the office, for the first time, I left the iPhone on it’s stand…I didn’t realize until I got out of the car at Oxmoor…sweat beads, where is it? So, I tried sending a text using the AppleWatch cellular…by golly it worked!! I dictated the question to an employee and back came YEP…. So, will I be able to use ApplePay without being tethered to the iPhone? Once the Rep was ready to check me out I brought up the ApplePay card and by golly it worked as if the iPhone was on my hip… I then wondered if I could get music, why not try it all….I put the AirPods in and went to Pandora….NOPE, had to have the iPhone so then I tried iTunes, golly, immediately a “Chill Mix” started playing, I had several choices but this sounded great… Walked to Starbucks to get an unsweet Green Tea…..paused the music with the Watch, double clicked the bottom button that brought up ApplePay, paid for the drink, double clicked the stem (top button) and AppleMusic came back up, hit the play icon and Chill Mix began again. I mean can you believe how all this works together!! No wonder the Apple Store is like the traffic after an NCAA game… This is one amazing company. I go through all this with my Geek friends to shed a bit of light on how all these things work….it’s all new to me as well…. John
