Load Activity Monitor to see where the CPU is being used…..give it a minute to 
settle down after you load…there may be a program that is monopolizing the 
ram…you can stop it while doing your import…All the chatter over Photos and the 
time it’s taking to work through them is killing the performance of my desktop, 
it’s like molasses…
