John-John, I agree with Tom that eBay is good, if you know what you are looking for, know prices and can accept some risk.
I usually gravitate toward Apple’s refurb site for the best quality at discounts that are pretty good most of the time and warranted as if they were new (they even qualify for the full AppleCare experience). https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.apple.com_shop_refurbished&d=DwIFaQ&c=OAG1LQNACBDguGvBeNj18Swhr9TMTjS-x4O_KuapPgY&r=F2GFXrjLFqVo3VwvIlo_XYeEiRRjHv15rxcenz7A21woG2aFGcrzndoSsskxfmOs&m=lR5Xj_Efl9G8ed-q4rw_PAWRqC8gVm5HHHt8SN7Rtxs&s=7JhIB4-BA3WyFEIpGamilO6IFdyk6JYPPwCI9WSDiWU&e= I just bought my wife a previous model MacBook Air on a Cyber Monday deal, but they are on the Refurb site for a similar price ($849), which is pretty good for a last year’s model computer from Apple that runs pretty well and is indistinguishable from new. That’s about the cheapest you are going to find for “new.” Another approach is to go to someplace like TechRestore or SimplyMac. That way if you have an issue with it you can take it back and be face-to-face with someone whose reputation is on the line. NOT a feature of eBay, I’m afraid.
