Could be it’s in preparation but not yet activated. Could be the attendant has to interact & hit the “credit” button inside. Both are wild guesses. When I’m checking out at many places I have to tell the clerk to hit the “credit” button, especially at Starbucks & Walgreens. At Meier the sale won’t work even after I’ve used my ApplePay until the clerk pushes some button for completion.
