Pen,

I don’t know how many of these are available to us, here is the normal names
that most are familiar with.

I have three ISP’s, only because of my need to not have a connectivity failure.

Spectrum is 200 down and 25 up. It has been very reliable for years, through
all it’ mergers. Seldom is there a problem, if so it’s fixed immediately and
normally by a technician coming to the residence.

AT&T DSL line was a major pain, continual problems with the ancient copper
wiring.

AT&T U-Verse was faster, had less problems but still nothing near as reliable
as Spectrum Cable and service through AT&T was horrible at best.

AT&T has run fiber in front of the house, months ago, but it’s not to the home
yet…I’m banking on this being much more reliable, will have 1 gig down and
up…$79.99 a month. I’m hoping two feeds can be banded together as with the
copper lines to produce a 2 gig speed.

Hughes Satellite is only a backup…very, very slow speeds, 10 down and less than
1 up. They don’t have good service support via phone….however it’s been very
reliable for the many years it’s been installed…it’s only a failsafe backup,
but it’s like the Timex, it keeps on ticking.

Soon we will have 5g speeds via cellular, 1 gig up and 1 gig down, but that’s
still a few years away for us here in Louisville. I had a Verizon Rep tell me
they were to turn on Cincinnati late last year, I doubt they made the expected
launch date.
