I am traveling with my MacBook. I am staying in a house with a highspeed wifi
connection with Cox (in San Diego) - actually two wifi sources coming from the
same modem:

2.4 GHz (longer range, slower speed) - 031FB7
5 GHZ (shorter range, faster speed) - 031FBD

I connect to the 5 GHZ wifi and every thing works fine till the computer goes
to sleep. When I wake up the computer it doesn’t automatically connect and I
have to choose the network I want.

When I visit my son in southern Alabama the wifi comes from Century Link and
it’s the same scenario - two different connections through the same modem. When
I connect to the wifi in Alabama and the computer goes to sleep I never have to
reconnect when the computer wakes up.

Why would it do it in one place and not another?

Thanks.

Harry
