I use iCloud for most of my mail. Seems fine to me, though I also have a add-in called MailSuite (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__smallcubed.com_scs_&d=DwIFaQ&c=OAG1LQNACBDguGvBeNj18Swhr9TMTjS-x4O_KuapPgY&r=F2GFXrjLFqVo3VwvIlo_XYeEiRRjHv15rxcenz7A21woG2aFGcrzndoSsskxfmOs&m=_in-XIUMYJWNHFyhmZvVxrgxj6mqBmfKU200nw01cU4&s=F1uTRR0gND9qfNUI_rm_WKuPf5w_rzxKap0L61_pqig&e=) which allows tagging and complicated rules for managing mail etc. I got it long ago when it was cheap and have upgraded for cheap and like it. You should try it before buying it because it has gotten more pricey.
