When you install Chrome, Google also installs the Google Chrome Keystone 
updater deep in the bowels of your Library directory. They don’t tell you 
they’re doing this. The software periodically phones home, looking for software 
updates, without asking your permission.

This software has been causing boot problems with recent MacOS versions on some 
machines. It can be removed.
