Then I vote that Mach-II 2.0 be code named aye-aye. ;-) as in the animal not

Subject: [Mach-II] Re: Mach Two?

People can pronounce Mach-II in any manner that they want. On the Team
here, we say "Mach Two" for the sake of pronunciation. From what I
understand, the joke when Mach-II first came out was that it was related
to Mach3 (a razor by Gillette) and that it gave you the closest shave in
history. Anyways, from what I understand Mach-II is play on words where
it stands for "fast implicit invocation". A "mach" number is measurement
of speed. So Mach-II just means "Fast Implicit Invocation" or if you
want to use the scientific term "Supersonic Implicit Invocation"
(because Mach numbers greater than 1 and less than 5 gets the supersonic
designation).

Anyways, we know that in the future with version 2 on the horizon.
Although we have 1.6.1, 1.8 and 1.9 planned between now and 2.0 since
we've started on shorter development cycles. We know that version 2
bring the old "Mach Two Two" thing that Claude bring up. Version 2 will
have a code name and probably will be known by that name instead of
generic version number (still using 2.0 as official number). We haven't
decided on the code name yet... For those who haven't looked at the
roadmap feature on Trac -- Mach-II 1.8 is known as "Simplicity".

Best,
Peter
Team Mach-II

P.s. Funny thread guys -- brought a smile to my face today.
