I'd have to see more of the stack trace to understand what is going on. You did not by chance create a variable named variables.log in your listener or view?

Hi All,

I am getting this error when calling an event in MachII 1.8.0....

The value returned from the getLog function is not of type MachII.logging.Log.

I have seen reference to this error occurring when using an unsupported node (I assumed in mach-ii.xml) however cannot see why....

<event-handler event="requestPasswordReset" access="public">
<notify listener="EmailListener" method="sendPasswordResetNotification" />
<view-page name="passwordresetnotification" contentArg="layout.content" />
<announce event="layoutpage" copyEventArgs="true" />
</event-handler>

I also set MACHII_VALIDATE_XML to true in mach-ii.cfc to see if this would shed any light but I get the same error. can anyone point me in the right direction please?

TIA

Phil.
