I posted my coldspring and machii xml files on pastebin (
http://pastebin.com/cc9FgchP ) per Matthew Woodward's request.
I hear what you are saying about the SecurityQuestionDao.
I have to ask, why is it only this object? This is almost the last
object defined in my coldspring file.
If the problem is truely that the datasource declaration is wrong, I
would think it would throw this error on the first object using that
datasource, not next to the last one.
This all works with the old coldspring plugin.
Please look at my xml files and see if you see something. I can post my
dao or anything else if necessary.

Yes. The error is telling you that CS didn't pass in the datasource to
the init() method of your dao. Check your configuration. You can share
your SecurityQuestionDao CS code snippet. It should have a
<constructor-arg> set for your datasource.
