I exported the latest http://svn.mach-ii.com/machii/framework/1-9-0/trunk/ and I am seeing the same result with the url:
/manage-guardians-list/1/20/firstName/ASC//true vs. /manage-guardians-list/1/20/firstName/ASC/abcabc/true The former still shifts the URL args.
