Nuttx looks very interesting, thanks for the heads-up.

As I said, I'm really glad to see some of the "maker" targeted code
moving away from running bare-metal.  I don't think it makes any sense
to try and port the full CNC stack to Nuttx, but I could see a use for
the HAL layer.

I doubt anyone here has an immediate interest in porting HAL to Nuttx,
but if you (or someone else) cares to try I can advise and answer
questions.  I think the basic guts of HAL and RTAPI should port over
pretty easily since Nuttx is a posix OS, but it might be trickier with
some of the higher-level stuff (python bindings, haltalk messaging).
