Hi

I have been following with interest a number of older threads I found on
the web that Bas did about getting machinekit to talk to ROS. A friend and
I recently resurrected a dead industrial robot arm by building a new
controller from STMBL drives, and got the kinematics working and able to
carry out gcode.

I have a ROS setup and have been experimenting with RGBD cameras and path
planning / collision avoidance packages, and at some point need to hook ROS
up to the bot. However the controller box has mesa cards. My current setup
runs debian / linuxcnc so no problem there, however I would like to find
out how advanced modules for running ROS path commands / trajectory streams
from moveit are?

I am happy to get my hands dirty with a bit of code and am more on the C++
side, but can handle python.

Cheers!

Ross
