Hey, Alex. I found that it was a Qt related issue. I moved recently and
can't help you with what version of Qt I used to solve this, but, the issue
was related to a bug Qt's wifi driver, which started after some Qt release
(can't tell you which, unfortunately). If you try wired interfaces, you
will find out that it works.
But, what I did was to compile QtQuickVCP against an older, unbugged
version of Qt framework and got a usable version of Machinekit Clinet.
FYI, it would probably run just fine on OSX and Linux clients.
