Hello, the main development is happening in the Machinekit-HAL repository, but that is only because active developers are more interested in that kind of work. The Machinekit-CNC branch is little bit stale as no one is really interested in it at the moment. There was discussion about creating kind of LinuxCNC jail, where most of the LinuxCNC application (the non-realtime part which consists of the majority of code) would live independent and only the most-trusted prisoners (read RT components) would be allowed into Machinekit-HAL proper.
