Hi everyone:

Not sure if I should ask this question here or if I should sign up and
ask it on a different list. Anyway, I have an all-in-one beige PowerMac
G3 (running OS 9.1) in use in my school which is 99% Windoze PC. The G3
in question is in a teacher's classroom along with two Windows XP
machines. There is one printer, an HP Deskjet 940c. The printer is
attached via USB to one of the XP machines and is shared locally with
the other PC. I would also like the Mac to be able to print to this
printer. I installed DAVE on the Mac and from what I can tell, I have
configured everything correctly, but I still cannot print to the
printer. Also, I am asked for a password to "connect to the network"...
not sure what this would be, I tried a couple of the usernames from the
XP machines and no go. I'm the sysadmin here so there aren't any
"secret" passwords that I don't know about!

Any ideas? If I can't get this to work, it's just going to appear to my
teachers that "Macs are inferior"... (we all know that's not true, but
it's hard going in a 99% Windoze environment)...
