Not really. Most of the worms/viruses pick addresses at random, and don't start at the "beginning of the list". They also scan web pages that you have visited to find email addresses embedded in the web pages, and use those as well - so it could be sending copies to people you've never even emailed or heard of.

Best thing to do is to run a good virus program (like Norton Antivirus) and make sure you update it at least once a day (Norton will do this automatically without you having to do anything).
