ROCKVILLE, Maryland (CNN) -- Federal investigators may say as soon as Saturday whether tests on a bullet shell casing found inside a white box truck were linked to the series of sniper shootings in the Washington area.

The white box truck was seized Friday after the casing was found inside it at a Virginia car rental agency, Montgomery County Police said. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is conducting ballistics testing on the shell casing.


Boy, those ATF folk really are on the ball - now they're able to perform ballstics tests on SHELL CASINGS?! Wow...
