Hiya "Slesley".....I think you should go with the original spelling of the name, as I did with Michaela. I have seen her name "bastardized" so many ways, that it has lost it's original meaning, the feminine version of Michael.  It has been spelled Mikala, Mykayla, Makayla, etc.etc., and it really bothers me! ha. If it was your intention to name her after the Gaelic version, go for it sweetheart......don't be afraid!!!! ha. However you spell her name, I hope she arrives soon (for your sake) and you both have a very happy and healthy baby girl. Can't wait to here the news!!!!
