Atta boy Scott.
Thank you for making the effort and taking up the challenge to the stupidity of Pier 1.  Obviously, they are only governed by the desire to make money and really don't give a damn about our veterans.  People like you Scott, really do make a difference. Sincerely;  I Thank You.
Don.

Subject: Pier 1 - response

Dear Scott MacLean,

Thank you for contacting Pier 1 Imports about Remembrance Day.

Pier 1 has been in conversation with the Royal Canadian Legion national office about the most effective way for Pier 1 to support Canadian veterans. Our desire was to make a significant cash contribution to the national organization. However, we have just received word from the organization that the contribution to them could not be distributed effectively to their veteran members.

Consequently, Pier 1 will allow Royal Canadian Legion poppy boxes to be displayed on our stores’ cashstand counters for the Remembrance Day period.

We offer our best wishes to Canadian veterans in the hope that they achieve their fundraising and awareness goals. Thank you for your support of Pier 1 stores.

Sincerely,
Kaye Beall
