Hi all:
I have a question: a non-profit that I'm doing a little work for has a
B&W G3, a iMac, and a biege G3 DT ( all on OS 8.6 ). I'm networking
them w/ 10BaseT but the B&W's port on the hub has a flashing link
light and the B&W
isn't seen ( and can't be seen ) by the rest of the boxes. All the
other boxes' drives
mount remotely at start up, file share, etc. normally. They are all
on the same subnet: 192.168.0.xx, etc.
I've swapped cables, installed OS 9.1, and swapped hub ports
w/ no change. Since this is the first time I've ever worked on newer
hardware ( NuBus PPC's are my usual fare ) I hope I am not missing
something basic - if I am, I will
go hide my face until the red fades...
Thanks for any advice!
Regards,
James
PS: Is modem sharing possible via Ethernet?
