        Thanks Jim.  That did the trick.  For others reading, to elaborate
slightly on Jim's ultra compact instructions:  When you've clicked on
the folder in question and opened a Get Info window on it, you then
open the Sharing option under the file menu and unclick the folder,
which will be featured there. The folder can then be dragged to the
trash like anything else on the desktop. Thanks to Phillip as well for
an alternate possible solution.  The one referred to above was easy to
try right behind the email window and worked like a charm.  Regards,
