Hi Clark,

I realise that my wording in the original post may have been a bit awkward.
In case it was, here's the situation:

On a machine running OS 8.x, I mount an OS 9.1 machine's volume, logging on
as owner.  Open the remote volume, and "Desktop Folder" folder is nowhere to
be found.

Doing it the opposite way (ie: mounting an OS 8.x machine's volume on the
9.1 machine) works just fine.  I'm not sure if it's an issue when accessing
a 9.1 machine from a 9.1 machine.  I'll give it a try next week.
