I think this is a good idea. Certainly I don't see this as a Windows
cheerleading site - and in reality, it will be useful even to us Mac users,
because if we find old PCs we will be able to put them to use as well. They
can make excellent servers, routers, firewalls, etc. After all, even the
Apple AirPort Hub has a tiny 486 PC inside! :)

Also, this site will serve as a useful way to show the PC community that Mac
users can indeed be impartial. I think it could even be a way to soft-sell
some of them on Macs eventually, because it's only natural they would click
on a few links and check out other co-owned sites.

Something else that occurs to me, is that advertising income is probably
more plentiful in the PC world. I am not implying and do not believe that
the PC side will be "carrying" the costs of the Mac side - but I do think
more diversification is a very good thing for all of us. The economy seems
very questionable right now, and it never hurts to have multiple sources of
income. Many sites that started as Mac only or PC only now have several
sections on one site and/or several sites on their "network" (i.e.
TechTracker/MacFixIt, Price.com/MRP, etc.).

Truthfully, I think that it's "prime time" for a Low End PC site; if this
downturn continues, many individuals and companies are going to want to make
the hardware they already have do more - more services, more efficiently,
with more uptime. This is already the sort of advice one can find for Macs
at LEM.
