Wade,
The SMC card won;t work with a Mac. The solution is to get either the
Farallon card or the Orinoco (now Agere) card. I'm using the Orinoco in
my Wallstreet and it works great with Apples Airport drivers, no need to
load anything (in OS 9). There is also a page documenting how to install
the OS9 Airport software on an 8.6 system. In doing a search on
pricegrabber for the card I see the lowest price is $70.
My only uncertainty is if the 3400 will support a wireless card. I have
no experience with it.
