I remember that we had a weird problem with some of our Macs at work.  We
had 10 hubs that we had them plugged into and then we had a few Bay 10/100
switches.  We couldn't connect them (Quadra 605s) to the Bay until we
upgraded to OS 8.  I think it was something in Open Transport. (I think the
Quadras were running 7.5.5 or less and they might not have had Open
Transport.)
