It's really easy to make your own Ethernet crossover cable, Your nearest full service hardware store will have all you need. Or if you have back issues of MacAddict from a couple years ago, they tell you (with pics) how to 'convert' a Ethernet patch cable.
<soapbox> It's actually cheaper in the long run to buy the parts and do the assembly yourself, I've got a crimper, 200 feet of Cat5, and bunches of those little plastic thingies that go on the ends that I'm not using. With two iBooks and an iMac using Airport, it's made wired Ethernet obsolete. At least for us. I personally think that there will be less and less need for wired networks of any kind. If they get off their (anybody who designs wireless stuff) collective behinds and fix security and, figure out what to do before it happens, what's going to happen when there are all those signals cluttering up the radio spectrum. </soapbox> -- Mr Shannon Strachan [EMAIL PROTECTED] Where my iBook is it's own advertising in an office of Windoze.
