I have actually only been using DynDNS for a week, so far they have been very stable. I used to use DialupDNS, not too many problems with them until they apparently went under. DialupDNS was a free service, DynDNS charges. I have also found a store and forward email place that charges $30.00 per year to cover you email. I do not have a static IP, if I did I would not need DynDNS. They have various clients to run to keep them informed of any changes in your IP address. DynDNS gives you the first 30 days free to get configured and working.
