I've tried three, in recent months. The xRouter Aero is my favorite, its very Mac-friendly. I've personally installed maybe a dozen or so of the entire xRouter line. It combines a 4port switch, broadband router function, and wireless Ethernet access point in one device. Configure with just your browser.
The NetLine Farallon Wireless Broadband Gateway seems to be feature-for-feature matched to the xRouter. Its form-factor is better for mounting on the wall. (The xRouter is better for stacking...) I'm currently using this one, only because I'm back-ordered on the xRouter Aero and I wanted to experiment with a second source. I've seen some network routing wierdness, however -- and I want to put my xRouter back. (specific problems with loop-back routing). This product also configures with just your browser. Up at my vacation home I just installed several Linksys Instant Wireless Network Access Point And I like these very much. These devices have two antennas and have noticeable better reception. They also can provide a wireless bridging function in a very simply to set-up and administer fashion. However, the device is what I would call Macintosh-hostile. Configure by plugging in a USB serial cable to your PC and running a Windows-specific installer, then a windows-specific configuration manager (the first time), subsequently you could manage with an SNMP client app -- however I don't know of one that is available for MacOS. At both of my houses I have Windows/Linux/Macos 9/MacOS X computers, so I can deal with the LinkSys. It isn't for Mac-only networks -- just as the Airport Base Station isn't for PC-only networks.
