Hello, all - Trying to get a PB 5300 to use a Dayna Communicard for network/ DSL access. Will be trying the same thing with a PB 190, in a week or two. Freshly upgraded (clean install) to OS 8.6 from OS 8.1.
The ISP (Verizon) recommends that Macs use DHCP to connect (through a router), but I can't find DHCP as a connection option as I work through the TCP/IP control panel. I'd love to hear from anyone who has performed this configuration successfully. Please share your how-to tips. Cheapness counts. Reply off-list, if you wish, but I bet other users would give this a try. Many thanks!
