Not all iMacs have an Airport slot. None have PCI or PCMCIA. As for fixing your problem. I was only able to find one USB to -any- ethernet adapter. Macsense <www.macsense.com> has a USB Wi-Fi adaptor. You'll need to have a Wi-Fi base in order to use this, but $200 (maybe less) is cheaper than a new mainboard.
Check it out here: <http://www.macsense.com/product/broadband/WUA400.html> One note, the OSX driver is still in public beta. They say that it is very stable, but YMMV. The OS9 driver is already finished. -Robyn On Saturday, January 25, 2003, at 01:53 PM, James Sedgwick wrote: > Wireless card might be your cheapest and best performing option. > Available for airport slot, PC card slot or PCI slot so everyone can > do it. -- MacNetwork is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
